Well, it's official.

I did not manage to blog ONCE in 2019.  :-P

You wouldn't know it, but I really want to be a blogger, and I really love writing.  Unfortunately (in this case) I also have an extreme perfectionist streak so I find myself incapable of just logging on and saying a few things.  Ugh.

Well, now it's 2020.  New leaf?  Here's hoping!

So I have spent a lot of the past year growing in my skills as a designer.  I would now describe myself as more of a digital artist than a jewelry designer.  While jewelry is still a MAJOR part of what I offer, I have expanded my product line to include many more items, as you will no doubt have seen.  This expansion is both exciting and challenging.

The print-on-demand business is pretty amazing.  I can design a product, create a mock-up and add it to my shop without ever physically seeing it (though I do purchase samples to ensure quality).  In the past, I would have had to order a large quantity of each item and hope that they sold- and that is just not something a business my size can afford to do.  So this allows me to create to my heart's content and offer you a huge range or products.  There is, however, a negative side to it, and that is pricing.  You definitely pay a LOT less per item when you buy in large quantities.  Having each item printed on demand means high production costs, and high production costs mean a higher-than-normal retail price.

It has always been my goal to keep my items in a price range that just about everyone can afford, and if you have been following me for a while you will know that my jewelry prices really haven't increased much over the past three years.  However, some of my new items, such as tumblers, compact mirrors, phone cases, etc. have a higher price point than my jewelry.  I really hesitated over offering these things at all, because I don't want any of my items to be cost-prohibitive. But in the end, I decided to let my customers decide if an item was too expensive or not.  I'm writing this because I want all of you to know that I am trying my very best to keep my items affordable for you!  That is another reason why I decided to offer the 20% bulk discount.

And so I keep creating.  :)  It is such a privilege to be a part of all of your lives and your special moments.  Thank you for all of your support and loyalty!  It means more to me than you will ever know.

This post was kind of boring... I promise I will write about something creative next time.  ;-)
