Years ago I saw an Edgar Degas art exhibit called "Art In Motion." They really couldn't have picked a better title. I can't think of another artist who captures motion so perfectly. His ballerinas just whirl you right in!
These striking earrings feature a cropped version of Degas' famous painting in a teardrop shape, cut from, medium density fiberboard which is like a very hard, strong pressed wood with a satin finish. We print the design on both sides so if the earrings happen to do that little twisty thing earrings often like to do, the picture will still be visible.
Teardrops hang from hypoallergenic silvertone wires (rubber backs included). About 1 3/4 inch total drop.
These earrings will be made to your order, so please allow 3-5 days for completion. We love custom requests, so if there is another famous painting* you'd like a jewelry piece made from, please let us know! Earrings come carded in an organza gift bag.
*Please note that due to copyright laws we will only reprint art that we can verify as being in the public domain. Most paintings that are at least 100 years old are fine to use, but if you're not sure, we will be happy to check for you.
